With over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, Rachelle Redix is dedicated to providing students with the knowledge and passion that she has for the industry. Raised in a salon/spa, she has had the opportunity to work in many different aspects of the beauty world.

She started as a licensed esthetician/nail technician in 1998, then proceeded on to apprentice in hair styling, and eventually transitioned over to the business side. Over the years Rachelle has had many opportunities to travel and work in North America; educating, working trade shows, and conducting business seminars for distributors, salon owners, and managers alike. Now in her 13th year as an Educator, she still makes time to work on clients regularly.

With her knowledge, understanding, and ability to lead, Rachelle does her best to ensure that her students leave confident and comfortable with the new skills they have developed. Having three children, who are all very different, she recognizes that no two students are the same in terms of how they learn. Rachelle takes the time to create a learning environment where each individual can flourish, and achieve results.

With her strong commitment to serve, she is delighted to offer future estheticians the opportunity to grow and master their craft through the Purple Esthetics Training Centre. Rachelle believes that ongoing skill development is very important and, that a genuine desire to help people is at the root of this industry. She continually stays on top of industry trends, and is always looking for new ways to improve our education department.

The NSI Nail Guru

Darlene’s love for nails began in 1992 when she opened her own business, and subsequently grew her clientele to a full time job. In 2008, she became an NSI Educator and in addition, took on the responsibilities of in house Educator for Purple Beauty Supplies.

In 2011, Darlene became part of the NSI International Team, where her role expanded to include participating in trade shows, conducting classes and demonstrating her love of, and skill with, nails.  Her role has once again expanded, making her part of an ongoing Research & Development Team with NSI. Her current role with them has earned her the title of NSI Global Educator.

Her experience and dedication to NSI has propelled Darlene to new heights. While she is now busy with training all over the world (in the US, Poland and South Africa to name a few), Darlene still continues to make her classes at PBS Training Centre a priority. Her love of nails and teaching has always been a focus. She is committed to her PBS students, and as our in house Educator for the nail program, feels it is important to always be on the leading edge of product and skilled technique.

The Sugar Queen

Mallory was always into beauty from a young age. Born and raised in New Brunswick, she moved to Edmonton in 2012. Once in Alberta, she took a great interest in esthetics. After attending Marvel College, Mallory dedicated her time to perfecting her skills and building a clientele within the industry.

Because she has also always had a passion for travel, shopping, makeup, and adventure, Mallory wanted to have the best of all worlds, creating a career where she has the freedom and flexibility to do all the things that she enjoys. As a successful business owner for the past 7 years, doing sugaring, permanent makeup, and nails, Mallory has found a perfect harmony in her work life balance.

While operating her business, Mallory has always felt she had something more to offer then just skill and technique. As she started to help others create opportunities to follow their own dreams, she realized that teaching was a way to do this. Today, Mallory is an Educator for SugarSmac, as well as with Purple Esthetics Training Centre.  She brings both her professional training and experience to the classroom every day, to encourage her students to seek the rewards that come with working hard and not giving up.

As a sugaring specialist, she values the art of sugaring, and recognizes the time and energy it takes to master the techniques. She not only helps in the classroom, but is dedicated to ensuring each student leaves Purple with the confidence and understanding of how to be the best they can be as a service provider and entrepreneur.
Purple is excited to have Mallory as the sugaring educator, and nail art expert.

The Gatekeeper (Customer Care Manager)

Jennifer Lieshout has been a part of the Purple Beauty Supplies group for over 12 years. She was originally a client, working part time in the industry as both a nail and lash technician, and would often come into Purple to visit and purchase supplies. Jennifer loved the atmosphere and especially all the exciting new products Wendy would always have. She has an infectious energy and a great personality.

In 2006 Jennifer joined the Purple team.  With her fabulous people skills and attention to detail, she was a perfect fit for Wendy’s vision. Jennifer thrives on offering excellent customer service and ensures that each person is taken care of. She is usually the first person you see when you walk into the Purple showroom in Edmonton, always ready with a smile to greet you and answer any questions.

She spends her free time with her two boys and her three dogs. Jennifer has an obsession with vintage jewellery and loves to make old things new again. In her spare time, she often scours thrift stores, looking for that one of a kind but neglected piece, which she refinishes to look as though it was crafted yesterday. Her favourite colour is Teal (and Purple, of course), and she is an expert when it comes to style.

Jennifer is also the front line of our Training Centre. In addition to being the Customer Care Manager at Purple Beauty Supplies, she also takes care of all class booking details. If you are interested in a career in the esthetics industry, she’ll welcome you on your first step to success!
